Father's Day, My Biker Dad!

Father's Day is this weekend.
As always, I'm a little late with my creation.
Dad, Don't Look till it comes in the Mail!!!!!

Everyone thinks they have the best Dad in the world.
My Dad really is the Best Dad in the World.
I Love you, Dad!

I wanted to create just the right card for him.
I found the perfect stamp set in the new catalog.
ONE WILD RIDE
I waited, and waited for my Stampin Up order to come,
so I could use this stamp set to make an awesome card, for an Awesome Dad.
Then I got it.
And guess what?
I had a brain block.
I couldn't figure out how I wanted to use this stamp.
I only knew, this was the perfect stamp to use for my Dad.

My Awesome Dad!

What to do, what to do ?????
I went on Pinterest for ideas.
Thank you to Stampyourartout.com , I found an idea.
Although I've seen this form of pop up card before, I've not tried it.
I liked her idea for the card, so from there I created a similar card.
I love the extra pop up inside.

Here is My take on her original idea.....
(no peeking Dad)

Lighting wasn't that great, so I tried again.

A top view shows how I did the pop ups in my card.

I had fun making this card. I like the fold style, and I'll have to create more cards with this fold.

Happy Father's Day to all Dads!
Thank you to ALL who inspire me, and I hope to inspire others.
Happy Stamping!!!!

Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Pop up card

This die set is amazing.
Easy to work with, and makes beautiful cards.
Unfortunately, as we speak this die set is unavalable.
No word as to when it will come back or if it will.
So this post is only a show and tell for those who already have the
Butterfly Die set from Stampin up.

I saw a card on Pinterest, with this set as a pop up butterfly.
However there were no directions.
I understand the simple mechanics of pop ups and had to give the card a try.
Here it is. My version.....

I plan to post directions as soon as I have the time to create photos and instuctions to go with the photos.
This butterfly die, makes a beautiful pop up card!
Happy Stamping

Valentines Box Card

One more Box card!
This one is a Valentines for my son. I plan to sneak it into his lunch box.
I can't think of a batter surprise at lunch time!

I did not use Stampin Up paper but the Stamps, dies and punches are all Stampin Up!
I used The Monstermaniacs stamp set (134972) for his box card. I love the little space monsters in this stamp set.
I also used the following dies sets.....
Hearts Framelits (125599)
Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003)
Labels Collection Framelits (125598)

(Update on this card... Mar.2nd. He loved it. He had it sitting on his desk for a week!)

And these cute little Valentines treats, he will be handing out to his class mates.
The heart paper is not Stampin Up, however the stamp set is ,
Rev Up the Fun (130523)

Happy Valentines!

Valentines Pop Up Card

Here is one of the cards we made in class.
I did two versions of this card using the Hearts Framelits (125599)
And Notable Alpabet stamp set (126357) and the new Blessed Easter stamp set (133212)

A note about my Blessed Easter stamp....
I cut the Easter blessing away from the flower.
Which gave me Two stamps.
I can now use the flower and the saying with other stamps, or alone.

I borrowed instructions from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtxeNMzdJ50
and created my own version of the card.

And here it is.....

Front

inside

the inside of another version....  Beating Heart.....

On this one, I used 3 sizes of hearts.

Happy Stamping!

Pop Up Box Card

Everyone has been making these beautiful Pop Up Box Cards,
So naturally I had to try one.
Ok........ Three!

I wanted to use up some old DSP as well.
I ended up with some pretty box cards and gifts to give away in my classes as well.
I got my directions from splitcoaststampers.com
Dana Kowal did a beautiful job giving easy to follow directions.

I plan to have an advanced class to make this box card.
So stay tuned for the Class date.

And here are the ones I practiced making.

This card measures 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches, when closed.
I wanted a smaller card to fit into the A2 envelopes, so I down sized the measurements
and came up with the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size card.
Here are the two smaller cards I made....

 And my favorite......

Happy Stamping!!!
