Blended Bloom, Mini Scrapbook

I'm kind of on a Mini Scrapbook thing, right now.
Making mini scrapbooks are great gifts for the special people in your life.
They appreciate the work you put into it and the photos of family and friends you've added.
You can't go wrong with mini scrapbooks!

I used old Designer Series paper, to decorate this book.
Since I'm a paper hoarder, it was a good thing to use the last of this paper on the book.

I also used the Blended Bloom, Stampin Up, set (135906)
And the New Stampin Blendabilities work perfect with this stamp set.

This 6 x 6 Mini Scrapbook is the easiest to make.

Take one 12 x 12 card stock, and score at 6 inches.
Turn  1/4 turn and score at 6 inches again.
Cut on score line, from the bottom, up to the center.
Fold all score lines, And decorate at desired.

Seriously, you can't get any easier than that!
Here is my finished Mini Book.

Inside, flaps folded up

Inside, flaps down

Truly Greatful, Mini File Folder Scrapbook

I can't wait to teach my Stamping Friends, how to create a Mini Scrapbook.
These are so darn cute and easy to make.

I used the Truly Greatful, Stampin Up set. (131733)
And a retired DSP.
I love any idea that alows me to use up old Designer Series papers.
Christmas is just around the corner and this is a beautiful gift giving idea.

The Last Creation for Mom

My last creation for my Mother.

Mom fought stage 4 cancer for 4 long years, and fought it to her last breath.
I often question.... how cruel is God for giving the innocent such horrible deceases?
But Mom never wavered in her faith.
And did what she loved, till the end.
Mom passed on Memorial Day, May 26th. At the young age of (almost) 65.
Her 65th Birthday was the 30th.
She has no more pain. However, we are left to suffer a broken heart.

Mom's passion was Quilting.
Which she learned from her Mother and Great Grandmother.
She taught my sister and I to do the same.
Fabric was Mom's drug of choice, and mine turned from fabric to Paper.
Every time I visited Mom, she always had quilts that needed quilting.
Most were donated to the Sunshine Quilting guild, which donates to Children's Hospitals.
Mom left some unfinished quilts and projects behind.
I look forward to helping Mom finish her quilts, one last time.
I will think of her, as I finish those projects and pass them on to those she loved.

I loved creating for Mom. Birthday cards and such.
All of them loaded with family pictures, pop-ups and all kinds of amazing special effects.
She kept everything I sent her, and was my only follower on this blog.

I was asked to create one last book for Mom.
With a broken heart and lots of tears I created a book in her favorite spring colors......

The guest book.

Nothing ordinary...... for an Extraordinary Woman!!!!
I Love you Mom!

Save The Rubber!!!

Are you saving the left over Rubber from your stamp sets?

Well, you should... It is reusable.
I saved the rubber from a few of my sets. I don't save all of it, but some.
usually the sets that have alot of extra rubber are the best.

I wanted to reuse the rubber to create my own stamp set.
I have seen ideas about running the scraps of rubber through your bigshot on a die cut,
and creating shapes. That is a great way to reuse some of the rubber.
I've done this and it works wonderfully.
Here is a picture of those shapes I used with my die cuts.

Not too bad!

But the extra rubber around your new stampsets can also be used to create
some pretty awesome handmade stamps.
I loved the movie The Lorax.
And so I decided to create a stampset.
Here I created the Truffula Trees stamps.

Oh My Gosh.... Awesome!
To create the Lorax, I needed to buy the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit from Stampin Up.

I used the kit to create the Lorax.

Yes, I carved the rubber, using the tools from the kit.
So Cool and Easy!

And Wa-La....
My card

I had lots of fun creating the stamp set.
I can now share some cute cards and
scrapbook pages with the kiddos in my family!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

Morning Meadow Card

I love purple!
But for some reason I rarely use it for cards and scraping.
So today I made it my goal to create a purple card.
Using Elegant Eggplant (105126)
Rich Razzleberry (115316) I'm not sure if this is a purple, but it worked for me.
Naturals Ivory (101849), Crumb Cake(120953)
Morning Meadows Hostess Stamp set (129678)
and Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (130517)
I created this card for May's Class.....

Contact me to find out how to earn the Hostess Stamp set.

Can't wait to share it with my Stamping Friends.
Happy Stamping!

Just for Fun!

Spending time in my room today, while it once again snows.
Yuk!!

I wanted to try making a mini scrapbook using some
extra pockets and pages left over from previous projects.
I can't remember where I found the tutorial for the pocket pages.
But this post is more about using scraps, leftovers and UFO's (UnFinished objects)
Sooooo........
This project turned out to be a mod-podge.
I picked up a paper pack at a rummage sale,
to create a beautiful scrapbook for a Christmas gift.
After creating the Christmas gift, I ended up with one, double sided pocket page.
Which I used in the center of my scrapbook.
I created two more pockets, using scrap papers, and added one to the front and back (inside) covers.
Also using scraps I created front and back covers.
Which gave me a four pocket mini scrapbook.

I love my Stampin Up stamps,
and find myself using them, regardless of the project I'm working on.
Using the Petite Petals Bundle (134822), the Flower Shop Bundle  (132726),
and Perfect Pennants stamp set (133227)
I created this cute cover.....

I liked the placement of the flowers so much,
so I dug in my scrap box and found an odd sized card (probably one I cut wrong)
And decided to make a matching card.

I couldn't stop there.
I decided this was such a cute design, that I created one for my stamping friends.
At May's class we will make this card, with the bright spring colors!!!!

I am having way too much fun with these stamps!

Happy Stamping!

Never-Ending Card

Everyone loves getting a Never-ending card!
Its so much fun to keep opening, and flipping through these cards.

My Grandson just had his 2nd Birthday.
I thought he would enjoy a fun card like this.
But I also wanted to make it bigger like a book. He loves books.
So here is my version of a 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch card, with a sweet Birthday wish.

My Grandson had no problems flipping this large card!
I'm glad he liked it.
I did sign it before I gave it to him :)

Happy Stamping!!!

Altered Manila File Folder Mini book

I happened to be cruising YouTube, and found a
way to turn a manila file folder into a cute mini book.
I decided to give it a try.
I used retired Stampin Up DSP, and some of our newer stamps.
Day Dream Medallions (126467)
And a new set from the Sale-a-bration,
You're Lovely (133578)

Here is my version of the File Folder Mini!!!

Decorating these is going to be fun.
Good thing I found a box of manila folders in my husbands desk.
Opps, Sorry Honey!!!! You weren't using them anyway.

Sale-A-Bration, Sweet Sorbet card

Today is Valentines day!
I hope everyone is feeling the love.
A great way to make someone feel the love is by making them a cute card and telling them how much they mean to you.
Here is a card that does just that...

When you spend $50.00 on Stampin Up products you earn one free gift from Stampin Up.
You may choose that gift from the 2014 Sale-a-Bration mini catalog.

Using the new Sale-a-bration Free paper pack, Sweet Sorbet (133521)
And the Sale-a-bration stamp set See Ya Later (133536)
Such a pretty paper pack.
I love the soft colors with the Black accent.

Silver Glimmer paper (124005), Framed Tulips Embossing folder (121809)

Valentines Scraps

I try and try to use scraps, but my box of scraps grows faster than I can use them.
The last few weekends I have devoted to using paper scraps,
regardless of where the paper comes from, it all ends up here!
In This Box ......

All the large pieces, have been scored and creased into failed boxes, treat holders and envelopes.
I refuse to throw paper out.
My addiction to paper is worse than I ever imagined.

Anyway, here is a cute card idea to help you use a few scraps of paper from your
scrap collection.

I used the small heart die, from the Hearts Framelits (125599)
And the (now retired, but always my favorite) Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder.
And lots of little scraps of paper to put behind the hearts.
Add Dementionals, and you have an easy card!
Stars would be nice for a Birthday card!!!!
The possibilities are endless.

Happy Stamping!

Valentines Box Card

One more Box card!
This one is a Valentines for my son. I plan to sneak it into his lunch box.
I can't think of a batter surprise at lunch time!

I did not use Stampin Up paper but the Stamps, dies and punches are all Stampin Up!
I used The Monstermaniacs stamp set (134972) for his box card. I love the little space monsters in this stamp set.
I also used the following dies sets.....
Hearts Framelits (125599)
Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003)
Labels Collection Framelits (125598)

(Update on this card... Mar.2nd. He loved it. He had it sitting on his desk for a week!)

And these cute little Valentines treats, he will be handing out to his class mates.
The heart paper is not Stampin Up, however the stamp set is ,
Rev Up the Fun (130523)

Happy Valentines!

Valentines Pop Up Card

Here is one of the cards we made in class.
I did two versions of this card using the Hearts Framelits (125599)
And Notable Alpabet stamp set (126357) and the new Blessed Easter stamp set (133212)

A note about my Blessed Easter stamp....
I cut the Easter blessing away from the flower.
Which gave me Two stamps.
I can now use the flower and the saying with other stamps, or alone.

I borrowed instructions from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtxeNMzdJ50
and created my own version of the card.

And here it is.....

Front

inside

the inside of another version....  Beating Heart.....

On this one, I used 3 sizes of hearts.

Happy Stamping!

Pop Up Box Card

Everyone has been making these beautiful Pop Up Box Cards,
So naturally I had to try one.
Ok........ Three!

I wanted to use up some old DSP as well.
I ended up with some pretty box cards and gifts to give away in my classes as well.
I got my directions from splitcoaststampers.com
Dana Kowal did a beautiful job giving easy to follow directions.

I plan to have an advanced class to make this box card.
So stay tuned for the Class date.

And here are the ones I practiced making.

This card measures 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches, when closed.
I wanted a smaller card to fit into the A2 envelopes, so I down sized the measurements
and came up with the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size card.
Here are the two smaller cards I made....

 And my favorite......

Happy Stamping!!!
