Use up those Scraps!

I've been working on cards for class,
and I noticed that my Scrap Paper Pile
has grown beyond its limits.
So I thought I'd try making a few cards with scraps.
This is what I came up with today.
Unfortunately I didn't even make a dent in my "Scrap Paper Pile"!
Oh Well! Better luck next time.  :)

Just Peachie!

I love peaches!
So when Dad and Kathleen brought me a bushel full of the fuzzy, sweet smelling peaches,
I had to start making JAM!
I managed to get one batch done last night, and two batches tonight.
Plus there is banana bread in the oven right now. Mmmm.... smells good.
Now Canning.......... is a different story!
Mom says, sometimes when her jam doesn't set, she dumps it out and starts over.
I don't have that problem. Because if the jam doesn't seem to be as thick as I'd like it, then it just becomes syrup for pancakes, waffles and ice cream....  :)
I have more difficulties with my jars not sealing!!! At least one jar in every batch won't seal. I get frustrated enough that I just take that jar and stick it in the Freezer! WaaLa! Freezer Jam!!!
No matter how its made, it gets eaten and enjoyed, by all, in my home! And its soooo good!
Two more batches to go!!!!!!

Have a fantastic Day!

Personalize Your Crafts!

I LOVE Stampin' Up!s Personalized Stamps!
They are a tool I can't live without. They're not just for Demonstrators.
Everyone, who stamps, Scrapbooks, crafts, mails cards and letters, has a use for personalized stamps.

At first I was spending lots of money printing off my own labels.
There was the cost of the labels, then the cost of  ink in my printers.
And we all know ink runs well over $60.00 for printers now-a-days.

I now have four personalized stamps that I keep handy for all my stamping projects.

One says" Christy's Creations". Which I use for all Personal projects, non- Stampin' Up! related.
I have one for all my Stampin' Up!  projects and class cards.
Stampin' Up! has copyright laws, and I must use this stamp when creating with their products.
I had one made with just my address so I can use it for mailing stuff.
And one with my phone Number, email and web site. This is separate so I can get my info out to all those interested in what I'm doing.

I love these four stamps! I use these stamps the most, and the cost is small compared to expensive ink cartridges and labels.
(Some info was blurred in picture)

You can find the prices and styles, (there are many), in the 2012 Idea Book & Catalog on page 172
or in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 33.
if you are interested, but don't have a catalog, contact me and I'll help you get a catalog.

Happy Stamping!!!

Little Boys!

When I saw this paper, I thought of a little boy. My boy in particular!
I bought the paper pack to use for Hunters scrapbook, and couldn't wait to use it so I made a card. Hunters Birthday is over, but I know other little boys I can use this card for.

In the card below,
The stamp set is Stampin' Up!
But Please Note: all the paper came from my "other" stash.
I have an addiction to paper, and can't help buying, pretty much, all I can.
If there was an AA meeting for Paper Hording, I should be going....LOL

Have a Great Day!

Basic Black and Certainly Celery Card stock and Classic Stampin Pads.

Dog's eat Greens?

This evening I went out to the garden to pick a few veggies. It was long over due,
and there was lots to pick.
Both my dogs, (Tanner-Golden, Mac-spaniel) are sticking their noses in the green bean plants,
while I'm picking, looking for something.
So just for giggles, I give them each a green bean.
They eat it! And they both come back for more.
Next thing I know they start taking them out of the bowl I was collecting them in.
Oh- no-no!
Those are mine, so I chased them out of my bowl.
I know dogs will eat just about anything, but I never thought they'd eat raw green beans.
Tanner takes his green bean. Wonder if I can train the dogs to pick them for me, without eating them?
I had a rotten tomato, so I threw that in the compost. One of the dogs went and ate that too. Gross!
This is Mac. He's the weird one.

Just so you know...There is dog food in their bowls.
Green Beans must taste better.
Happy Stamping!
